‘I'm leaving without you': Husband Misses Wife’s Birthday Party After He Fails to Be Ready on Time and She Leaves Without Him, Leading to a Family Dispute

One of my biggest pet peeves is people who are always late. It doesn't matter if it is a doctor's appointment, a wedding, or dinner at a friend's house, they will always come at least 30 minutes late, and I can't stand it. I always get to where I need to be at least 5 minutes early, and if I don't feel like being early, I'll probably wait in my car until it's time to go in. If I'm even 10 minutes late to a thing, I can assure you I am stressing all the way there.

That is why I sympathize with the woman on this Reddit post, who has to deal with a husband who is chronically late. What finally tipped her over the edge was when he decided to work instead of getting ready for her own birthday party, so she simply left without him. In response, he didn't even bother showing up to the party and was later upset with her for leaving him at home.
